Obituary of Maria Marcela Estrada Del Carmen

Maria Marcela Estrada de Del Carmen passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born on January 31, 1938 in Calmalli, Baja California, Mexico to Alfonso Estrada Flores and Francisca Lara Amador. At the age of 37, Marcela moved with her four children to Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She later emigrated to El Paso, Texas, and in the last year she resided in her son's, Sergio Del Carmen, home in Thornton, Colorado. Marcela raised her four children, and three of her grandchildren. She was a woman of God, and always prayed that God direct her path. Marcela is survived by her mother, Francisca Lara Amador (age 104); her four children, Eduardo Del Carmen (daughter-in-law, Eun Woo Ju), Sergio Del Carmen (daughter- in-law, Elia F. Del Carmen), Marcela Del Carmen Estrada, and Alicia E. Gabriel (son-in-law, Thomas Gabriel); nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters; and one brother.
