Me and Matthew loved looking at the stars. We were always looking at Saturn and Jupiter especially because we would be together summer months. Then throughout the year we would send each other pictures of the stars and the planets. I miss being with you at the lake late at night. I miss door dashing with you. I love how you wanted to experience life. I love that you always wanted to be around your family. I loved that you watched over your sister so much. I'll never forget when we went to the ocean together you told me like five times that I better watch Sisi. You are so smart you knew so much I cannot believe you're gone. I just had another sweet memory of Matt. It was summer of 2020, in NY, in Jeanine's yard and Deb, Walt, SiSi, and Matt came over. It was the height of Covid here and Matt was so thoughtful. He wouldn't go anywhere near us without his mask. He'd walk clear around the table to get something just to keep 6 ft away from anyone. For him to be so considerate of others at the age of 16 amazed us all. He really was so uniquely special .

But the way you showed how interested you were in hearing stories and getting to know your NY family is what is etched in my mind. Dear Matt, Thank you for bringing me flowers on my birthday. You stopped by with your grandpa. He loved, loves you so. Walter said Debbie would kill you both if you didn't stop by… It was June 2020. No backyard gatherings that summer, thanks to Covid. But for a brief, beautiful moment you were there. I have so many happy ,wonderful memorys of grandson Matthew and and I am so grateful for that.! This memory was when he and and Sienna were visiting us in New York one Summer and we went out on my cousin's boat in the Massapequa Harbour waters It was a beautiful day and Matt got to drive the boat! He did a great job driving and we such a fun time out on water I will never forget it this beautiful memory of our beautiful boy !

After we had dinner we all went back to Janeen and Jeff's house and will always remember how sweet and kind Matthew was to little Kyle. He showed him some stuff about a video game and talked with him about his pokemon collection. Said a lot about him. So sad to loose him it will leave a huge hole in all of our lives. RIP
