Obituary of Dorothy Mae Nadeau
Dorothy Mae (Wright) Nadeau, age 97, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a long-time resident of Orchard Park, New York, died November 23, 2021.Dorothy was born to Carroll and Harriet Wright on June 28, 1924 in Ticonderoga, New York. She graduated from Ticonderoga High School in 1942 and worked for General Electric in Schenectady, New York during World War II, and later as a secretary for Judd Morehouse, an up-and-coming New York State politician in Ticonderoga.In 1949 she married Howard Payne Nadeau, her husband of forty-eight years, who passed away in 1997. She was a loving mother of two adopted children, Karen Marie (Nadeau) Bielich, who preceded her in death in 2016, and David John Nadeau. She is survived by her son, David, and his wife Misty Dawn (Sexton) Nadeau; her three grandchildren, Jenelle Rachael (Nadeau) Krolikowski, Desiree Michelle Nadeau, and John Walter Bielich; and three great-grandchildren, Braylon, Brianne, and Miles Krolikowski.A private Graveside Service will be held sometime next year where Dorothy will be interred next to her husband and daughter at Mount Hope Cemetery in Ticonderoga, New York. In lieu of flowers or other sentiments, the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) in her memory.
