Obituary of Stephen Ray Sundling

Stephen Ray Sundling passed away at the Parkmoor Village Nursing Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 25, 2021.He was born to Harold and Kathrine Sundling on November 19, 1952, in the Akron Hospital in Akron, Colorado. From a young age, Stephen (known as Steve) spent his days with his siblings choring animals and farming on his parents' wheat farm south of Akron, Colorado.Steve spent a brief time in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on December 19, 1974. He suffered from a long series of psychological maladies which resulted in hospital stays in many hospitals.Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Paul and Kathrine Isabella (Resler) Sundling; brother, Phillip Gordon Sundling; sisters, Carolyn Ann (Lyle) Kelsey, Paula Sue Sundling; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Rosaland) Manhalter, Phillip (Beverly) Baker and Harold (Linda) Guthrie; sister-in-law, Ruth (Kent).Steve is survived by brothers, Roland Clark (Grace) Sundling, and Harold Kent Sundling; sisters, Rosaland Katherine Manhalter, Beverly Jane Baker and Linda Belle Guthrie.A Memorial Service will be held in March, 2022 at the Akron Cemetery Gazebo.� Inurnment of his cremated remains will follow also at the Akron Cemetery.
