Obituary of Lisa Ann Guyder

Our beloved Lisa passed suddenly Monday, November 29, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with her family at her side. Born April 1967 in Yonkers, New York to Sarah and Richard Mauer.Lisa grew up in Irvington, New York, and graduated Irvington High School in 1985. She received her Associates degree from Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, New York. It was at college where Lisa met her soon to be husband, Tom Guyder. While Tom was serving in the Army, Lisa and Tom lived two years at Ft. Riley, Kansas and then moved to Ft. Carson, Colorado. Lisa has been a resident of the Colorado Springs area for the past thirty-one years. She worked as a customer service representative for John Wiley and Sons Legal publishing for many years. Most recently Lisa was a domestic engineer (as she would laugh and call it). Anyone that knew Lisa will remember her huge heart, generous spirit, and her crazy laugh. Lisa loved watching old movies, summer outdoor country music concerts, traveling and sharing great experiences with everyone she knew. She also enjoyed swimming and pool physical therapy. Lisa was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1995 where she served faithfully even while struggling with declining health issues. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge of the bible and always looked forward to her weekly group telephone service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Brian McFadyen, and brother, Paul Maurer.Lisa is survived by her husband, Tom Guyder of Colorado for thirty-three amazing years; her beloved Shih Tzu, Patsy; brother, Sean (Sarah) McFadyen of Croton in Hudson, New York. She was able to meet her four-month-old niece, Delia McFadyen in August of this year. Lisa is also survived by her aunt, Veronica Mitchell of Hull, Massachusetts along with her loving cousins. She also had several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Newcastle West, County Limerick, Ireland.In lieu of flowers contributions in Lisa's memory may be made to the Jehovah's Witness (donate.jw.org)Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19 a zoom memorial will be held.Memorial Service, 12:00PM MST, Saturday, December 11, 2021.
