Obituary of Christopher Leslie Wehrer

Longtime Colorado Springs, Colorado resident, Chris Wehrer, 48, passed away on December 1, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1973 in Berlin, Germany.Chris was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Allen Wehrer.He will lovingly be remembered by his wife, lifelong love and best friend, Ally Harrison; son, Aaron Harrison Wehrer; mother, Sherri Wehrer; sisters, Tammy Frankforter and Tracy Carpenter; and niece, Amanda Carpenter. He will also be dearly missed by his many friends. Chris and Ally met as teenagers. They were always by each other's side and shared a beautiful love and life together. Chris' born talent and passion for creating culinary delicacies, led him to the legendary and world-renowned Broadmoor Hotel, where he found great joy as a sous chef. His family was fortunate that he loved to share his creations with them, and he took great pride in doing so. His love for cheffing and sharing continued even after he left the Broadmoor. He mastered anything he took an interest in. Chris possessed an aptitude for solving problems, repairing anything and was a scholar of many interests ranging from "gardening" to the stock market. He enjoyed live music, watching the Denver Broncos, and playing disc golf.Chris will always be remembered for his soft heart, that he generously shared with those close to him, his quiet demeanor, determination of steel and making friends and family laugh with his wit, "Chris isms" and uniquely created nicknames for his friends and his beloved pets. Family and friends will gather in January to honor and celebrate Chris' life; one of laughter, kindness, and brilliance. To keep Chris' spirit alive, please make someone laugh today.
