Obituary of Kendall James Barnes
Kendall James Barnes was born on February 8, 1965 in Oroville, California, and after battling heart disease for several years, passed away on December 02, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is the son of the late, John A. (Alice) Barnes; and is survived by his mother, Eloise J. Hollyfield; his son, Edward A. Barnes; his brother, Kevin D. (Amber) Barnes; and his niece and nephew, Meredith and Michael Barnes; all of Metro Denver, Colorado. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Mary Barnes, and he has several remaining relatives in the Livingston, Tennessee area.Kendall loved learning, as was reflected in his educational pursuits. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and held a bachelor's degree in computer animation, a master's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, and had begun work on his doctoral dissertation there, as well. Greater than his love of learning, however, was his love of music. He was a master guitarist, frequently compared to the great ones, e.g., Van Halen, and performed in several venues over the course of his life. He was also a composer and had written over forty songs. He will be missed by many in the musical circles he inhabited. A follower of Christ, he was faithful to study the Holy Bible each day. He was a member of Calvary Fellowship Fountain Valley, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
