Obituary of Scott Tracy Short

Scott Tracy Short, 58, a Colorado Springs native, passed away at home on December 6, 2021. He passed after a short battle with COVID.Scott was born in Colorado Springs on August 26, 1963 to Loretta and Charles Short. He attended Wasson High School and Blair Business College. Scott's first love was music. He was an amazing self-taught drummer. Scott played with many bands over many years. He got to tour the world while playing, including Okinawa, Japan and Korea. On his forty-fourth birthday, he met Christel, who became the love of his life. Scott and Christel were married June 14, 2008. On that same day, he became a father to Christel's 3-year-old son, Chase. Scott's daughter, Taylor was born on August 17, 2008, during a motorcycle rally in Winterpark, Colorado. Being a husband and father became the most important things to Scott, jobs he excelled at. Scott is survived not only by Christel, Chase, and Taylor; but by one brother, Randy; two sisters, Diane and Jill; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy and Bonnie. Also surviving are five nieces and nephews and eleven great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Rick; and his brother-in-law, Art. He also left behind many life-long friends, including John B., Terra Bauer, Rikki D Hall, Ted Stout and Mike Washington. Also three big dogs, three big cats and two fish!
