I have known Lisa for many years. It was always fun getting together with her for coffee or lunch. She had such strength and a positive outlook even during her illness. I miss her and I consider myself blessed to have called her my friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Tony, Nik, Eddie, and your families. Martina and Douglas Betts

I still hear your voice, the one I love and know. I walk through the house, hear your footsteps. How I'd love to wake tomorrow and walk with you again. Just to look into your eyes and tell you about my day. It's those little things I miss, since you went away. I now pray to God, to keep you in his care, To comfort you and heal your hurt, until the day I meet you there.

My condolences to Tony, Eddie and Nick. Lisa was one of my dearest friends for the past 26 years. She was one of the most genuine and caring people I've ever known. The world is much dimmer without her. Praying for you all during this time of bereavement. I miss you, my friend. Jackie, Sade' and Iris Hudson

May you find comfort in memories and strength in each other's love throughout this difficult time.

1968-2021 Colorado Springs, CO - It is with profound sadness that the family of Lisa Sabbatino, our dear wife, mom and grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on December 20, 2021, after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer. Lisa's strength and drive keep us all confident she would beat this obstacle. Lisa dedicated her life to our family, her work, and her education. Lisa was born November 08, 1968, to James and Linda Ackel in Riverside, CA. She took all of her callings seriously and was diligent in fulfilling her obligations. She cared for her energetic, intelligent, and loving sons while her husband deployed across the globe in support of our national objectives. Lisa was able to maintain a healthy and vibrant household, a fulltime job, earned 3 college degrees and made sure our sons made it to every soccer, football and basketball practice and games. Lisa was my wife and best friend for 33 years. She had the good fortune and opportunity to travel the United States and live in North Carolina and Colorado. Lisa also lived in Germany and traveled to 18 different countries while we lived there. But her favorite place was Colorado, whether she was in the mountains or at her home, all she needed was her dog, family, and friends to be happy and content. Lisa is survived by her husband, her sons Edward and Nikolas, her grandson Ezra, her mother Linda, brother Eric and sisters Patty, Paula, and Pam. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at the Queen Palmer Elementary School and all-around town. A celebration of her life will be held January 28, 2021, at 10 am at the Springs funeral services, then a graveside service at the Pikes Peak national cemetery for family and then a reception for friends and family will follow. Meanwhile we have no doubt that Lisa is as social as ever and will reconnect with long last family and friends as well as keep tabs on us as we remember her as the shinning light and endearingly optimistic and fearless person, we know her as. Tony Sabbatino

Tony, that was a great tribute to Lisa. She was a welcoming and loving friend to our family since we first met in 2007. We're grateful to have known her. She raised some great young men in your sons who will continue to reflect the kindness, genuiness, warmth, strength, and fun-lovingness that you both embody. Our deepest sympathy, Matt & Sonya Chaney

I worked with Lisa for many years at Columbia Elementary, where she has so many people who love her dearly. Her contagious smile, her wit, and mostly her ability to love, care about and teach children. I'll miss you so much. xoxoxoxo
