Obituary of SMSgt Bobby Wayne Hill, USAF,

Bobby Wayne Hill was born on October 11, 1930, to James and Aileen Hill in Tipton, Oklahoma.At the age of seven, he moved to Colfax, Indiana where he was raised by his grandparents. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1948. He joined the Air Force the following December.Bobby married his first wife, Helen Stires in 1951. They had four children, Larry, Fred, Shirlee, and Robert. His oldest son, Larry, passed away at the age of eight during surgery for a heart problem. He married his second wife, Ardis Cimino, in Colorado Springs in 1967. He was stationed at various bases in the United States, Alaska, and Korea. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 after twenty-two plus years. He was too young to quit work entirely, so he worked in Civil Service another twenty-one years (at Fort Carson and The Air Force Academy), retiring again in 1993. While serving in the Air Force, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in NORAD Intelligence; the Joint Service Commendation Medal in Alaska Intelligence; the Good Conduct Medal with oak leaves; and various service ribbons. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Larry; his first wife, Helen; and two brothers, Max, and Jimmy.He is survived by his wife, Ardis Cimino; his stepsons, Sam (Diane) Cimino, and John Cimino; and grandsons, Michael Cimino and Zachary Cimino.
