Obituary of Wanetta June Rutledge
Wanetta Rutledge, 91, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Virgil, Kansas on Friday August 13, 1930. Wanetta was the daughter of Norman Cooley and Helen Cooley. She married the love of her life, Lauren Rex Rutledge on June 20, 1950.Wanetta worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 1965. She was very active in the Order of Amaranth and was a past supreme royal matron in 1990. Wanetta was a very thoughtful and caring person, always sending out a card to everyone for all holidays, birthdays, and thinking of you etc� Cards. She made donations to multiple national and local charities that were very close to her heart.She is preceded in death by her husband, Lauren Rutledge; parents Norman and Helen Cooley; brother, Leon Cooley; and her sister, Maxin Cooley.Wanetta is survived by her sister, Marguerite Duncan; her nieces, Lisa Waples and her family, and Pamala Capps and her family.Memorial Service will be held at a future date in Knoxville, Tennessee.Thank you for your thoughts, and prayers, and any charitable donations in Wanetta's memory.In lieu of flowers a donation in Wanetta's memory may be made in honor of the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation in care of June Hass, 1162 Mountain Top Lane, Cookeville, Tennessee 38506.
