Obituary of Robert "Bob" Vincent Glidewell

Robert "Bob" Vincent Glidewell passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 11, 2022, at the age of 67. Bob, a hardworking and devoted family man, was born in 1954 in Inglewood, California to Jacque Sue Reeves and Jack Glidewell, and raised by Sedric and Helen Glidewell. He grew up in El Segundo, California, where he met and married Roxanne Moreau in 1973. In 1975, he moved his family to Craig, Colorado and began work at the Trapper Mine as a dragline operator. In 1982, Bob and his family began running haunted houses out of their basement to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. This unusual hobby, which donated over ten thousand pounds of food to local food banks, was Bob's way of serving his community and the city of Craig awarded him the Sunshine Award for Meritorious Service and Dedication to Improving Life for his service. After retiring from the mine in 1998, he and Roxanne moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to launch their business, MoonShadow Productions, along with Mind Seizure Haunted House, and be near their first grandchild. Over twenty-five years in business, he developed deep connections with people who he came to consider his "haunted house family." He sold the business in 2007 and began a career in the medical field, where he touched the lives of many through his selfless care and soothing bedside manner. He began his final career of being happily retired in January of 2020. Bob enjoyed backyard BBQs, family game nights, and spending time with his grandkids. On any given day you could catch him reading his favorite author, Stephen King, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and indulging his sweet tooth with a variety of his favorite snacks. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Jacque Sue Reeves; and grandparents, Sedric and Helen Glidewell; and his father-in-law, Al Moreau. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Roxanne Glidewell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his children, Jason (Terri), Robert Neil (Katie), and Cheri (Rod); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Madison, Oceana, Anna, Kyra, Isaiah, Tucker, and Lucy; great-grandchild, Ky'mani; mother-in-law, Lois Moreau; brothers-in-law, Joe (Susie), Eric, and Matt; siblings, Susie, Michael (Tawnia), Ted (Tammie), and Cindy; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched and whom he held dear.
