Obituary of Lynda Daphne Williams

Lynda Daphne Williams, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend departed this life on January 14, 2022, surrounded by her family.She was born on August 9, 1953, in Wilmington, Delaware, to Edward Stone and Bernice Stone. Lynda was the youngest of their two children. She grew up in Wilmington and graduated from P.S. Dupont High School there. Lynda later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with her family and ultimately graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs with a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Communications. Lynda's career in Colorado Springs started at the District Eleven school district. She also worked at Hewlett Packard, where she was a vital part in the growth and success of their Colorado Springs corporate office. She joined government service with the QASAS program in 2005. This position took her to many places around the world, which included Oklahoma, Utah, South Korea, and Pennsylvania, where she retired in 2018. She was multi-talented and had an inquisitive mind. Lynda had a passion for learning new things, seeing new places, and helping people anytime she could. One of her passions was tending her garden at her home. Her collard greens, tomatoes, lettuce, and string beans are what she loved to grow and were never in short supply in her home. She also had a passion for classic movies which were always on when she had the remote.Lynda was also an active member in the Colorado Springs Seventh-Day Adventist community, where she loved to serve through the various outreach programs. She is survived by her husband, DeAnthony Williams; her sons, Robert Campbell and Justin Campbell; her four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. A host of other extended family and friends will also miss her.
