Obituary of TSgt John Arthur Reifschneider, USAF,
John Arthur Reifschneider, age 85 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully January 16, 2022. He was surrounded by his family and felt all their love at his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Reifschneider; one daughter, Annette Reifschneider; and one grandson, Connor John Norvell. John is survived by his wife, Veronica Reifschneider; five daughters, Lynn Mazzetti and husband, Flavio, Gail Zito, Laura Norvell and husband, Lawny, Deana Reifschneider and husband, Shad Harder of Colorado Springs, Stacy Cadieux and husband, Jon of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and one brother, James Reifschneider of Blue Springs, Missouri. He has eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. John proudly served his country for twenty-two years in the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 where he received an Air Force Commendation Medal. He continued his love of mechanics after his Air Force retirement working as an aircraft mechanic for many years. He would have stayed there forever had the work not slowed down and forced him to part-time, then full retirement. John spent the remainder of his years enjoying the attention of his five daughters, grandchildren, and his dogs. A private memorial service will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, to include a final tribute with military funeral honors.
