Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Lee Walter

Gerald "Jerry" Lee Walter, 89, died January 20, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by his family.He was born in rural Ault, Colorado on May 31, 1932 to Chris and Frieda Walter.His family moved to Colorado Springs in 1965.He was a Journeyman Machinist in the mining industry for many years.He enjoyed several hobbies including hunting, hiking, bicycling, RC aircraft, skeet, antique vehicles, and electronics.Volunteering, dancing, and socializing at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4051, were his favorite pastime activities in recent years. He also spent many years managing bingo games for the VFW.He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Frieda; former spouse, Dody; grandson, Nicholas; and brother, William.
