Obituary of Larry Lee Chase
Larry Lee Chase of Peyton, Colorado passed away February 10, 2022, at Solange at Apple Tree in Colorado Springs.He was born April 16, 1940 to Grace Stephens and Kenneth Chase in Galesburg, Illinois.Larry only finished the tenth grade and went into the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Manley (DD-940). He got out of the Navy and went to work for the railroad in Illinois. He had three children, Jackie Inman, Bruce (Linda S.) Chase, and Kimberly Diaz. He had five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Hurd of Rock Falls Illinois.Larry is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Chase, Jr. of Galesburg Illinois, and Steve Chase of Tulsa Oklahoma; and two sisters, Sharon Crawford of Oneida Illinois, and Crystal Walker of Festus Missouri.Larry loved to fish and hunt and would take the kids to fish. Larry, his son, and his nephew would go hunting when they would have time. He would take fishing trips over the weekend with family members. In his last years he developed dementia and he could not remember anything. He would ask his son and his son would remind him, and then he would sometimes remember the past. He came to live with his son in Colorado for three years before he finally had to go to assisted living because of his dementia.
