Obituary of Trudy Ann Sicotte

Trudy Ann Sicotte, 77, of Peyton, Colorado passed away on February 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 27, 1944 to George and Ida Brown. Trudy attended and graduated from Lansing Catholic Central High School in Lansing, Michigan. She went to college in her forties and graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology in 1991. She later returned to school and obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing and retired as a nurse practitioner in 2017. She enjoyed farming, gardening, canning, cooking, reading, wine tasting, camping, hunting and spending time in the summer at their camp on Noren Lake in Michigan. Trudy loved her husband, family, animals, the Denver Broncos and being a nurse practitioner. She had a huge heart, always putting others ahead of herself. She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Kevin Rapelje; and her parents, George and Ida Brown.Trudy is survived by her husband, David; sons, Kerry (Lyn) Rapelje of Calhan, Colorado, Matthew Rapelje of McGrath, Alaska; step-son, Matthew (Sarah) LaCasia of Spencer, Massachusetts; daughters, Diana Doyle of Rolla, Kansas, Bridget (Tim) Ball of Manistee, Michigan; step-daughter, Michelle (Brad) Rubman of Burlington, Vermont; daughter-in-law, Melinda Rapelje of Charlotte, Michigan; sister, Noreen (Earl) Vincent, of Ovid, Michigan; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.Per Trudy's request cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
