On March10, 2022Mary Helen (Conatti) Delpino, 71, of Colorado Springs, passed peacefully in her sleep after a long illness with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, August James and Mary Margaret (Suckman) Conatti;anda brother, Arthur August (Denise) Conatti. Mary is survived by her husband, Steve;her only daughter, Anita Jo Arndt of San Diego, California; Steve's children,Heather Marie Foy, of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Stephen (Yvonne) Julius of Dubai UAE; her maternal grandchildren, Alexander and Ariane of Folsom, California;Steve's grandchildren, Matthew, Hadley, Raoul, Micaela, Kelsey, Grady, and Bruno;and her nieces and nephews. Mary was born March 16, 1950 in the small coal mining town of Ernest,Pennsylvania and was proud of her heritage and humble roots. She moved briefly to Austin, Texas and eventually settled in Colorado Springs, Coloradowhere she fell in love with the majestic beauty of the mountainsand discovered her favorite town, Cripple Creek. Visiting this town with Steve became one of her favorite pastimes. She also found immense joy in studying genealogy and learning abouther Czechoslovakian and Italian heritage. She was most proud of her daughter, Anita Jo, her grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Kiwi. The family asksyou to keep her in your heart, remember the love and kindnesswith whichshe lived, and to know she is at peace.Marywould say, "The greatest gift to be given in life is to die peacefully in your sleep." Beautifully,God granted her that wish. No services are being held.He Only Takes The BestGod saw you getting tiredand a cure was not to be,so he put his arms around you,and whispered "Come to me".With tearful eyes we watched you,and saw you pass away.Although we loved you dearly,we could not make you stay.A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest,God broke our hearts to prove to usHe only takes the best.-Frances M.
