Obituary of James Lee Pierce

James Pierce (Jim), of Colorado Springs, Colorado went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2022. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Zac) Meidinger of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his mother, Olive Pierce of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; his sisters, Faye (Darrell) Rhode of Florence, Arizona and Julie (Kurt) Overturf of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Pierce.Jim was born June 13, 1950, to James and Olive Pierce in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He spent most of his childhood years in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, where he graduated high school. He attended college at Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor's degree. After collage, he spent two years enlisted in the Army and lived in Monterey, California. Jim moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1978 and considered it his home ever since. However, he always remained a Green Bay Packer fan at heart. He owned his own fencing company for over thirty years.
