Obituary of Vicki Ann Maline

Vicki Ann Maline, 71, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away March 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.� She was born July 12,1950 in Martin, South Dakota and she graduated from Cody High School in Nebraska in 1968. Vicki earned a degree in accounting from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She was an Army wife, traveling the world with her husband Jim, stationed in Georgia, Arizona, Virginia, Germany, Kansas, Texas, and finally Colorado.�She volunteered/worked at Rockrimmon Elementary for fifteen years. Vicki enjoyed telling stories, reading (two-three books a week), baking pies, canning Colorado peaches, and spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren.�She is survived by her husband, Jim Maline, of fifty years of marriage; her three sons Mark (Kerrie), Michael (Jenny), and Matt (Colleen); her six grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, Ethan, Layla, Max and Teagan; her mother, Helen Slattery, and her three siblings, Patti Gubbels, Walt Slattery and Jeff Slattery.��Memorial contributions may be made to One Nation Walking Together or Vietnam Veterans of America.� The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring and supportive medical staff at Penrose Hospital, Biliana Mailliard of New Century Hospice, the Hunnam family, and to all our family and friends for their support during this difficult time.��Graveside Service, 11:00AM, Friday, April 22, 2022, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
