Obituary of Peter Joshua Colon

Peter Colon, 40, of Colorado Springs, Colorado departed his body to become one with the Force on March 15, 2022 after a brave, valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.Peter was born in Los Angeles, California on March 8, 1982. Peter met the love of his life, Suzy Nickerson in Los Angeles, California in 1997. Peter proposed to Suzy at Snow White's Wishing Well at Disneyland, a shared love that was a constant throughout their relationship. They married on November 15, 2003 in California.Peter joined the United States Air Force in 2003. Peter was a Tsgt (Technical Sergeant) with the 2nd Space Operations Squadron (2 SOPS). He served in the Space Force as Cyber Systems Operator Flight Chief Mission Assurance.Peter's heart, passion and source of his infamous "Dad" jokes were his two sons, Lincoln and Tucker. The love he had for his sons and joy he demonstrated being their "Daddo" was obvious.Peter was highly intelligent in all areas of his life. He enjoyed sharing "little known" and unusual facts on all subjects in either unique or at times, weird ways and at times, using his charming, dry dark sense of humor to share such knowledge.Peter's sarcastic, yet caring personality endeared him to everyone he came into contact with. When Peter joked with you or gave you a hard time, you were part of his inner circle.Peter loved podcasts and shared his favorites, depending on the topic, with people who had an interest in that topic. He was an equal opportunity sharer and wanted everyone to feel included.Star Wars and Marvel lit up his passions which he willingly shared. His favorite place to hike was Pulpit Rock and he enjoyed the Manitou Incline.His sparkling green eyes and huge heart drew all who knew him close.
