Obituary of John Everette Whetstine

We are sad to announce the passing of our brother, John Everett Whetstine of Ca�on City, Colorado, born on June 2, 1946.� After a long battle with COPD, John died at the age of 75 on March 20, 2022 with his sister-in-law, Phyllis, present at his side. He was at his home in Valley View Healthcare Center.John was a cheerful and kind person. He had a teasing sense of humor and loved to stir things up to get people to laugh!!��John's favorite hobbies were fishing, bead and candle making, and reading his Bible, and he loved ice cream! He had a compassionate and generous heart. Over the years John had opened his home to many who were in need.John is survived by his son, Jon Oesterreicher of Hollister, Missouri; four grandchildren; and John's brother, James Grant Whetstine; and sister, Julia Ann McKee.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, Wellspring Church, 950 Victory Lane, Florence, Colorado 81226. �All are welcome.�
