Obituary of William Arthur Buckman

William "Bill" Arthur Buckman, 90, Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away March 21, 2022.He was born in Binghamton, New York, March 15, 1932. Bill graduated from Denver University in 1958 as an Industrial Engineer. He was married to Susan Ruth Betts on September 2, 1953.Bill raised his family in Denver and lived forty-five years in Black Forest, Colorado. Outside of work, Bill had wide ranging interests centered around outdoor activities and loved sharing his passions with family, friends, and getting kids involved. He was a member of the Volunteer and Professional Ski Patrol at Winter Park, and continued skiing until the age of 87; he was an avid fly-fisherman, and built his own wood-crafted drift boat. He flew glider planes at the Black Forest Glider Club, climbed the Grand Teton and seven of the 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado. He also had a small racing sail boat and scuba-dived. He was a well-known wild-life and portrait photographer and loved his two Rocky Mountain horses Anna and Shadow.He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Buckman; and grandson, Luke Anderson. Bill is survived by his wife, Susan; and his three children, Barbara Anderson, Linda Buckman, and Bruce Buckman and their spouses. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Ben, April, and Brionna and their spouses; his great granddaughter, Teagen; and his much loved nieces and nephews.
