Obituary of Frederick Eugene Mumford

Frederick Eugene Mumford 93, died March 24, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.�He was born April 1, 1928 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Luther Warren and Minnie Jane (Kriter) Mumford and was known throughout his life as Gene.Frederick served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. He later attended Los Angeles Pierce College and developed a lasting career as an insurance agent. Gene was dedicated to his�wife, Jeane E. (Wright) and children, and made personal sacrifices to ensure Catholic education for his children through high school.� Gene enjoyed several hobbies including coin collecting, amateur radio and repairing antique clocks. He was very dedicated to helping people in any way he could, and volunteered at school and church events and fundraisers. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
