Obituary of Betty June Gremo

Betty was a proud Colorado native, born and raised in Palisade, Colorado. She passed away unexpectedly at her residence at Bonaventure in Colorado Springs on Monday, April 4, 2022.Betty was a die-hard Broncos fan and would never miss a game. She loved traveling, playing cards, reading, and sewing. Her artistic talent shined through her beautiful oil paintings and homemade quilts.In 1968, Betty and her husband, Joe moved their family to Colorado Springs to start new careers. She was employed by District 11 and District 20 and retired in June of 2001.Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gremo in 1990; and by her son, Martin Gremo in 2020.Betty is survived by her son, Mark (Sharen) Kempton; and her daughter, Jodi Gremo; four grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Kempton, Ryan (Crystal) Kempton, Kari (Bob) Foley, and Jamie Gerchek; and six great grandchildren.A family gathering will be held this summer in Palisade, Colorado to honor Betty's life. The family would like to give special thanks to Bonaventure Assisted Living for the gracious care that they offered Betty in the last six years of her life.
