Obituary of Jeffrey "Jeff" Allen Watters

Jeffrey Allen Watters, 57, died April 16, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born in Maquoketa, Iowa to Allen Lee Watters and Evelyn Jean Cleary on November 7, 1964.Jeff leaves behind his son, Leif Chadwick Watters; sister, Julie Tubbs; and nieces, Lindsay and Heather.He enlisted in the army at the age of 17 and was an armory specialist and lifelong firearms enthusiast. Jeff had broad interests including a love of nature and the outdoors, photography, reading, and was a licensed massage therapist. Before working on the facilities team at Colorado College for twenty-three years, Jeff drove a sandwich truck, transported horses, and worked at the top of Pikes Peak where he met the love of his life, Gillian Chadwick.Jeff was an early riser and took the time to snap and share pictures of especially pretty moments like brilliant sunrises, snow on Pikes Peak, or a deer nibbling a bush on campus.
