MAJ Dwight Bland Varley, U.S. Army (Ret.), 69, died April 25, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. He fought a long battle with Parkinson's and cancer, and was a great warrior until the end.He was born July 31, 1952 in Pittsburg, California to George Everett and Katharyn Alberta (Tallant) Varley. Dwight was a helicopter pilot in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Katharyn Varley. Dwight is survived by his wife, Gabriele Ruth Varley; daughters, Alicia Araki, and Monica (PJ) Rasekh; son, Adam Varley; grandson, Axel Araki; granddaughters, Faith Rasekh, and Ava Rasekh; brother, Lance (Linda) Varley; and sister, Sharon Varley.He was a loving husband and father, and will be forever missed.
