I was devastated when The Rey closed and I was unable to see my adopted family. Diana was always so sweet to everyone she came in contact with, always a smile and a kind word. I will miss her very much along with the rest of the family!

Diana my first memory of you is in elementary school. Then continued memories at church specials. I remember laughing and giggling with you when we played. I remember walking you home when you lived on W. Colorado Ave. I remember seeing you back in the kitchen @ El Taco Rey. Loved your family's cooking. Later in years we lived as neighbors so to speak , when Louella lived next door to my Mamma. I watched you grow in faith , I know your days weren't always a bright as your smile but better is one day in His courts than a thousand elsewhere. You will be missed and always remembered dear life long friend.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Diana a few months before she passed. I remember we would need to reposition her and she would tell us "I refuse." When she learned that, she would play the refuse card. It would make us laugh. It was as if she were crossing her arms saying "I refuse." One other time myself and the PTA were there at the same time. Diana asks the PTA if he was single and then repeats "are you single," but this time talking to me. I said to Diana are trying to play match maker, she smiles and says yeah. She had a beautiful smile! I even told her so. She replied many people had told her that before. Before she passed, one of my friends envisioned beautiful purple tulips bursting and then we're restored once again to their beauty. I knew it was God giving me the message and the tulips represented Diana. She previously had told me tulips were her favorite. She is completely restored and beautiful with Jesus. She will be missed, such a caring heart and great sense of humor. I loved her directness. ♥️ I'm so greatful to have known her.

I remember a few years ago that my grandma Diana always used to let me and my 3 cousins Malakai, Malea And Mia jump on her bed. And she always let us watch her put on her lipstick/chapstick. We used to play in her perfume and she always used to give us a candy, and take us to the park afterwards. You will never be forgotten fly high my angel Grandma Lady Di

Rest in Peace, Diana! I have worked at Qwest/Centurylink for 22 years and worked right next door to the family restaurant on the corner of Pike Peak and Weber. I would walk right down the back alley for lunch -many, many times over the years - Lots!!! I knew the whole family, Dad (sat with him a month before he died) and Mom with seeing her in her later days too in a wheelchair. However, Diana I saw and have know for many years taking my orders and while we would talk and smile. It breaks my heart to read her obituary, however I know she is in a good place. God Bless and Rest in Peace!!
