Obituary of SMSgt John William Bentz, U.S. Air Force,

SMSgt John W. Bentz, 89, passed May 10, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was an avid outdoorsman who loved elk hunting and fishing of all types. He served as the local president of Bass Masters for several years and was an active member of The Grey Wolves RV group. For YEARS John ate breakfast every day at Wade's Caf�, even during COVID, when they were open. He made friends easily and was known as a avid baseball and football fan.John was an Air Force and Vietnam Veteran (three tours). He worked as an inventory controller for the city of Colorado Springs.He was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret A. Bentz, and Margaret L. (Mills) Bentz; parents, Peter and Mary Bentz; daughter, Sharon Lou Wall.John is survived by several close family members, daughters, Patricia Ernestine Mills, and, Mary Louise Smith; grandchildren, Tamara Shawn, Gilbert Ekholm, and, Brandon (Denna) Wall; great-grandchildren, Patricia Anne Ekholm, Megan Elizabeth Ekholm, Lara Grace Ekholm, and, Christine Wall Collenette; brother, Gary Betnz; sister, Joyce Stanley.John will be laid to rest at Ft.
