I just wanted to mention what a kind and caring person Ron was. Every day, rain or shine he walked his little Charger, and before that his Guerro. Ron always carried a bag full of treats for the neighborhood pups. You can imagine how much they loved Ron and those treats. One of his neighbors lost her puppy to a car when the pup ran into the road and was killed. Ron spent the next few days building a fence around his neighbor's yard. Another time he was walking with Charger during a Colorado cold spell when he saw a little Shih Tzu curled up in the snow trying to sleep. Ron rushed home for a blanket which he wrapped around the cold puppy. This was the one and only time I ever saw Ron angry. I am sure he had words with the owner of that pup! This was the type of person Ron was, always opening his heart to those in need, and he certainly had a soft spot for the four-legged ones. Ron was also extremely bright and well read. He'd seen much of the world while in the Air Force. He enjoyed studying military history and his memory was like a steel trap. He remembered everything. Ron was also an accomplished musician and played in a group for a while. More recently he stayed close to home, choosing to play his guitar for his wife Tina. He said she liked to listen to his music. Ron was hoping to go home from the hospital earlier this week. He was so eager to be reunited with his little heart-dog Charger. I guess it was not meant to be. Rest in Peace Sgt. Ronald Stephenson USAF Ret. You will be missed by so many. Ray and Nikki Reini
