Obituary of Ellen Marie Bragg

Ellen Marie Bragg received her angel's wings on May 19, 2022. She earned these wings many times over through the care and support she provided to family members and friends, many of whom became extended family. Her care and support included being a good listener, giving kind words or advice, and providing end of life care, depending on the need. She loved to help people and enjoyed listening to stories of life events, sarcasm, and providing many well-deserved eye rolls. Whether in need of a kind ear, a shoulder to cry on, a place of refuge, or a hot meal, many people benefited from Ellen's kindness and generosity.Born in McCook, Nebraska, she grew up in Fort Morgan, Colorado, where she graduated high school and met Bill Bragg, her husband of forty-eight years. She went on to earn her Executive Secretary Diploma from Central Business College in Denver and worked several jobs. She worked most of her career as a bookkeeper for Metsker Accounting, and as an administrative assistant for the Rentals Department of School District 11. Ellen will be remembered for being a supportive friend and family member, loving wife, amazing mother, and devoted grandmother. Helping others was her greatest joy, and she had a way of making every person she met feel special. Ellen is preceded in death by her father, Henry Kettering; mother, Marie Kettering-Jones; brother, Richard Kettering; and grandson, Henry Bragg. She is survived by her husband, William Bragg; brother, Paul Kettering; son, Richard (Abby) Bragg; daughter, Michelle Bragg; grandson, Logan Bragg; bonus daughters, Catherine Fuston and Brandi Abeyta; and many nieces and nephews. Ellen's family wishes to thank everyone for their kind words and support while they work to accept her loss.
