Obituary of Lynne Gaye Bowles

Lynne Gaye Bowles, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, met her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on May 24, 2022.She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and graduated from Berkley High School of St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where she received (in her words) her "Mrs." degree, marrying Brad Bowles and going on to serve as pastor's wife in ministry at Cross Timbers Baptist Church of Cross Timbers, Missouri and New Jamestown Road Baptist Church in Spanish Lake (St. Louis), Missouri.She went on to serve in ministries at her beloved church Calvary Worship Center (West Side) of Colorado Springs, where her love for others and her generous spirit affected everyone around her.She loved the Lord and blessed others daily with her encouragements in cards, letters, texts and notes. Everyone who knew her knew of her bold and boundless faith, her testimony to His grace and mercy and her commitment to seeking Him in all things.She is survived by her husband, Brad Bowles after forty-seven years of marriage; as well as her five children, Jeff and Susan Clayton of Spring, Texas, Jennifer and Mike Cathey of Charleston, South Carolina, Matthew Bowles of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Andrew Bowles of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rachel Bowles of Niwot, Colorado.She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Emily, and Brad (Tommy) Wilson of Livingston, Illinois, Adam Stroer, and AJ Stroer of Edwardsville, Illinois, Allison Clayton of Spring, Texas, Aaron, and Marcy (Lila) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Anna, and Seth Moles of Spring, Texas; Abigail Clayton, Alaina Clayton, Andrew Clayton, Amanda Clayton, Angela Clayton of Spring, Texas; Courtney Cathey, and Dexter Cathey of Colorado Springs, Colorado.Visitation, 9:30AM, Thursday, June 2, 2022, Calvary Worship Center, 501 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.Funeral Service, 10:30AM, Thursday, June 2, 2022, Calvary Worship Center, 501 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
