Obituary of Dixie Lynette Garrett
Dixie was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, and a graduate of Palmer High School. In her younger years she worked for Ideal Cleaners and she was very independent .She was a great big sister, and would read to the younger siblings, as the oldest daughter. She taught them manners, how to iron and shared what she knew with her siblings and was very patient and loving. Dixie was smart, and well-read, she taught her younger sister to read when she was struggling.She was a woman of deep faith and lived it. Survived by her brothers, William (Linda) C. Garrett, Kenneth L. (Yvonne) Garrett, Isaac R. (Sue) Garrett, Daniel B. Garrett and Robert "Bob" Garrett, sisters, Deborah D. (Larry) Lawrence, Patricia F. Garrett.She is also survived by her niece, Pam (Don) Helmick who was very close to Dixie, along with many other nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.Visitation, 5:00PM-7:00PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Plate Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
