Obituary of Aspen Marie Carr
On Saturday, June 11, 2022, Aspen Carr, loving wife, mother of one, and surrogate parent to any who needed her, passed away at age 47.Aspen, named for her father's love of trees, was born in Denver, Colorado to Jon and Deborah Clark. She spent much of her life in Colorado Springs, Colorado, though she also lived in Germany, Seattle, Virginia, and Montana. She attended Frankfurt American High School in Germany and graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was married to her love, Robert E. Carr, Jr., for twenty-two years and together they raised one daughter, Takira Clark.Aspen had a passion for creativity and learning. She was a very talented baker and decorator, painter, singer, pianist, and knitter. She found a lot of joy in books and was a voracious reader. She had a degree in Criminology and was a licensed phlebotomist. She was known to make anyone she interacted with feel special with her warm smile and honest demeanor. She knew how to have fun and make people laugh with her quick wit. She was most comfortable at home with her family or visiting with old friends. Aspen knew who she was and was comfortable being herself. Even to the end, she had a strong will, and wasn't afraid to make her wishes known. Aspen was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah; and her father, Jon. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Takira; her sister, Jacqi; her extended family; and the countless others whose lives she touched.Services pending.
