Obituary of Richard Lott Mason
Richard Lott Mason, 87, died June 22, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on October 2, 1934 in Evanston, Illinois. He became a long time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Richard graduated from Northwestern University. �He was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard.�He enjoyed serving others and exemplified this in his career choices of stockbroker, real estate and insurance sales, and funeral services. Richard spent several years as a volunteer deputy with the sheriff's department in Minneapolis. He also served as a member of the Senior Victim Assistance Team for the City of Colorado Springs Police Department.�Richard loved his wife, his family, the mountains of Estes Park, baseball, and his beloved dog, KitKat. Richard was a lifelong Episcopalian and a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church.�He had a great sense of humor, often finding life amusing rather than being serious all the time. He enjoyed making people laugh and always had a ready joke.�Richard is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Kelsey Mason; children, Richard (Amy) Mason, Jr., Scott Ring, Douglas Mason, Christopher Mason, Jessica (Mike) Rice, Kelly Hart, Karen DeKruger; and six grandchildren.�Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, Saint Michael's Episcopal Church, 7400 Tudor Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.�The service will also be live-streamed through a viewing link at�www.stmikeschurch.com.�A reception will follow.
