Obituary of Benjamin "Ben" Thomas Schuler

On Friday, July 1, 2022, Benjamin "Ben" Thomas Schuler, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 33.Ben was born on March 31, 1989 at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington to Nolan and Barbara (Gronemeyer) Schuler. He spent his early years in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and later attended school in Colorado, graduating from Doherty High School and eventually the Colorado Department of Corrections, becoming a prison guard. He loved that job. On May 12, 2012 he married Kristen Barmann. They had one son, Landon.Ben had a passion for hot air ballooning. He also loved the outdoors and running, which drove his love for traveling and exploring the national parks with his son. He enjoyed Indy car racing and attended the Indianapolis 500 several years in a row. He was also an avid music lover who enjoyed teaching his son the joys of classic rock. He was known for his generosity, goofiness, and kind and compassionate spirit.Ben is survived by his wife, Kristen; son, Landon; parents, Barbara Schuler and Nolan (Kinda) Schuler; sister, Brandi; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Memorial Service, 1:00PM, Saturday, July 9, 2022, The Springs Funeral Services - North Chapel, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard.
