Obituary of Daniel James Murray

Daniel James Murray, 37 years of age, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on July 4, 2022, in El Paso County, Colorado. Daniel was born on Mother's Day, May 12, 1985, to David and Deborah Murray in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.He traveled often as a military child growing up, but his last attending school was Widefield High School in Security, Colorado.Daniel was a "Jack-of-all-trades" but he was particularly good with his hands. He has worked as a 7-up driver and stocker, Home Depot sales associate, and worked many other jobs involving construction of pallets, decks, and fences; as well as landscaping, area beautification and irrigation for both private homes and businesses. Most recently Daniel was a valued worker building scaffolding for businesses undergoing construction within the Colorado Springs area. Daniel's hobbies consisted of riding dirt bikes, cooking, home maintenance, camping, football (Raiders), and music. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Woodard, who passed on March 18, 2022.Daniel is survived by his father, David A. Murray of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his brothers, David M. Murray of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, and Douglas P. Murray of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his children, Shane Pankey of Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, Abigail Sickles, Dexter Watt, Owen Murray, and Juniper Murray all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nieces, Kyli and Winsley Murray, and Violet Houck; and his nephews, David, Matthew, Joseph, and Maddox Murray, and EJ Houck.
