Their daughter, Lindy, was born during their college years. Julie graduated with honors with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in music. Bob's first coaching job took them to a small town in the Rocky Mountains. Both Bob and Julie trusted Christ as their Savior before moving East, which changed the trajectory of their lives. She began her teaching career in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, while working on her Special Education certification. Over the next twenty-five years she taught students with special needs and they loved her! Her gifting impacted schools in North Carolina, Massachusetts, Georgia, and Kentucky.Julie enjoyed music, so wherever they moved, she joined the church choir. She taught numerous Sunday school classes, women's Bible studies, and Vacation Bible School, but she especially loved helping women grow in their walk with God in life-to-life discipleship. Finally, Julie was a great wife, supporting Bob's coaching career through multiple moves around the country.
