Obituary of Mark Scott Shadle

Mark Scott Shadle, aka Rad Shad, tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident on July 16, 2022, near Laramie, Wyoming. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He was the Southern Group Manager for RK Mechanical, Inc. in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mark was born on April 2, 1964, in Ames, Iowa, to Kenneth and Marlene (Baskerville) Shadle. He grew up in Mason City, Iowa and was a 1982 graduate of Mason City High School. He then graduated from Iowa State University in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He earned his MBA from UCCS in 1998. Mark married the love of his life, Michelle Rene Slining, on May 23, 1987, in Mason City, Iowa. He worked for Lennox Industries in Marshalltown, Iowa, before moving out to Colorado Springs in 1990 to work for Current Inc. He also started his own consulting business, Performance Management Associates.Mark loved everything about the outdoors - skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping, scuba diving, etc. He was a true adrenaline junkie, enjoyed his annual guy trips to Moab and Steamboat in addition to vacationing with his wife in Cabo, Cozumel, and San Francisco. He will be best remembered for his love of cigars, fine whiskeys, great friends, music concerts, 80's movie quotes, James Bond movies, positivity, beautiful smile, adventurous spirit, and was a jack of all trades - always willing to lend a helping hand.He will be truly missed by his wife, Michelle; son, Cameron; daughter, Sydney; parents, Ken and Marlene Shadle; mother-in-law, Glenda Sorensen; brother, Brian (Debbie) Shadle and their children, Austin and Sarah; sister, Susan (Ray) Burget and their boys, Nathan and Eric; sister-in-law, Stacy (Jay) Albright and their children, Jackson and Reese; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends, and co-workers.Please bring your own cigar and feel free to wear casual attire.Celebration of Life, 2:00PM, Friday, July 29, 2022, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.The Celebration of Life will be streamed live.
