Obituary of Deborah Alison Coleman

Deborah "Deb" A. Coleman passed away on the morning of July 18, 2022. She was under the care of St. Francis Hospital, with nurses and staff who had already developed a deeper connection with her during her stay. Deb was the daughter of Ray Rexford, a fighter and survivor of WWII, and Elva (Weinrich) Rexford, a homemaker. Although born in California, her family had journeyed there cross-country from Minnesota. The youngest of nine children, she was dearly loved and cared for by her older siblings.Deb spent time in a variety of job positions over the years, but what she truly wanted was to be a housewife and mother. She loved working with kids of all ages and working as a teacher's aide for elementary students was her favorite job.In September of 1978 Deb was married to Ralph David Coleman in a small ceremony with friends. They later separated and divorced after their children were grown, but never regretted the time they spent together raising a family.Deb was an avid crafter and loved teaching others how to sew, knit, crochet, quilt, cross stitch, and paint ceramics. She was an active volunteer with both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America; helping lead meetings, camps, events, and even helping troops march in parades! She was a good counselor for those with a heavy heart and spent time sharing her love with members of her extended family and friends.Deb is survived by her two children, Candi (Coleman) Brunick and Jeremy Coleman of Colorado; and her eleven grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Sharon McSwain of California, Sandra Rogers of Colorado, and Roberta Candace Wrzesinski of Maryland; her brothers, Ray "Butch" Rexford of California, and Michael Rexford of California.Celebration of Life, 11:00AM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, Daughter's Residence, please contact the family for more information.
