Obituary of Juanita Villafana

Juanita Villafana, 73, of Peyton, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2022, with her husband and daughter by her side. Juanita was a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend.After being a stay home mom and raising her two children, she decided to go back school. She started her career working as an escrow officer and received awards and honors for her dedication. In 1997, she retired after working twenty-five years.Juanita's greatest joy was her faith and family. She loved her three grandchildren dearly and would share stories about them often. Juanita was so proud of each of them, and it showed in her smiling face when she spoke. Her sister time was always a treasure and would talk about her special time for weeks after sharing pictures of the time together. Juanita enjoyed day trips and picnics with her husband, playing cards, golfing, tennis, sewing, and a passion for cooking. Her most favorite activity was working in her garden. Juanita enjoyed planting flowers, plants, and trees. She even named trees after her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Ron Villafana; son, Eric Villafana; daughter-in-Law, Yolanda Villafana; daughter, Shannon Call; three grandchildren, Hannah Call, Andrew Call and Luci Villafana; brothers, Ruben, Herman and Gilbert Brusuelas; sisters, Josie Michie, Christine Bracken, Cece Liptrap, Marie Mullen and Rita Tozzie; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Juanita has gone to be with her father and mother, Joe and Juanita Brusuelas; brother, Ted Brusuelas; and sisters, Kathy Miller and Betty Jones.She will live forever in our Hearts.
