Q: What was Jacob really good at? A: Cooper had a fantastic knack for welding. He did it for a living. He was also a darn good mechanic as well. You drove me crazy at times leaving your clean up jobs for me, but I would gladly go back to those days. I pray that you have finally found the peace that you were looking for. You left us far too soon!

Loving, Dad. Or as you always called me "Padre"

We loved Cooper. "Gentile Giant" was a great description of the boy next door to us for the last 15 years. Early on, he would come over with Katie after school or on weekends, to clean the alpaca pens and earn a buck or two. Later, he becme our go-to guy for car or tractor repairs and he never minded coming over to change a flat tire for us. He was strong willed, determined, and an all around good neighbor. I'm sorry we moved away before he passed and could not there for Warren & Katie. Our prayers go out to all who knew him and loved him. Cooper, you were loved by many and will be sorely missed.
Cooper was one of a kind. He'll always be the funny mischief maker in my eyes. He always knew how to have fun the Cooper way. I remember when our families and the Mayers camped at fair together. The adults decided to leave all of us all alone together with no super vision. I remember our campsite had a kiddie pool, food, and a table. Apparently the perfect recipe for pre teens. I remember food being thrown, the pool being turned to mud, and Cooper and I believe Daniel deciding to see if the table could double as a slip and slide. It couldn't.... oh the moms were maaaaaad. Gwen could have snapped Cooper just like the table. Cooper taught me my first German word on the bus one day: "shiza" I will forever think of him when I say it. No words could express how badly I wish your family didn't have to feel this pain. Just know he's having the greatest reunion with Gwen. I can only imagine. One last thing. His person may no longer be here, but his love will never leave. So much love to you Katie and Warren ❤️

One day when Katie and Cooper were very small when Gwen brought them to Pueblo and since I hadn't seen the kids in a while I wanted to take them to Walmart and get each 1 of them something. Katie ran right to the toys toys and picked something out but Cooper ran straight to the pajamas and picked out a pair of SpongeBob SquarePants pajamas. He must have really been a fan!!

Oh Cooper your smile is what I will always remember. It was always huge with a bit of mischief in it. I'm grateful for your friendship with Hannah. I also remember how you loved riding in your dad's Mayberry sheriff car. We called you Barney at fair that one year and you just laughed and said you can carry and shoot better than Barney. Love you Coop and will miss you. Rest in your Mama's arms. Warren and Katie you are in my heart and prayers. Love you.

Cooper is such a gentle giant! Every time he saw me I would get the biggest most wonderful hug! We would catch up then be on our way. I so enjoyed getting to have that special relationship! This is such a wonderful family! Cooper and his awesome mom are enjoying those special heavenly hugs. Thank you Cooper for being such a sweet young man! Until we meet again my young friend. Love Mrs D. ( I could not convince him to call me by my first name)

I've known Cooper since the day he was born. When he was little we would have to "Cooper-Proof" the place if he was coming over, but it was mostly because he was always exploring and learning new things. As he grew, I came to depend on him when I needed help around the house. He was very busy, but if I asked, he would always find time to help me out. I loved you Cooper! I wish you could have seen how many people loved you

I have known Cooper since being in Kindergarten! We went through our elementary years together and some high-school I always remember him wearing army gear and educating us on all things army & guns! I would call him a childhood friend going to all birthday parties as we were kids! A beautiful angel now.

Cooper was a little ball of energy when he was a toddler. My best memory is of him running circles around the staircase of the house. He was also so artistic, he was talented in working with his hands, he made beautiful pieces for his mother. Warren and Katie I am sorry for your loss.

My first memory of Cooper that I always think of is when Cooper would run up and down the isle at Church. He was so energetic as a child. I was forever thankful that he came to my brothers Sals gathering when he passed away. My last memory was of him at the El Paso County fair. I was working the entrance gate and he came through my lane. I always considered him a gentle giant. I miss you and love you and your mom. Warren and Katie, I love you both. You will always be in my heart and thoughts.

Cooper. Such a joy. An additional brother and friend that our family was blessed with. My favorite memory I have is when Mrs Listul was baking in the kitchen and Katie and I were terrorizing cooper and Brandon. We ran outside, cooper was so mad he chased us around with a trumpet. Then realized we were having fun and it became a game. We ran and climbed up the old castle thing and he was yelling below with Brandon. One of my favorite memories. I love you all and will always keep you guys close to my heart. Katie and Mr Listul I'm so sorry for your losses over the year. I know Mrs Listul and cooper are looking down on us forever. Love you guys.

I have so many memories of Cooper from St. Michael's. I cant even imagine that parish without him. I remember when I worked there and I needed someone to keep weekly mass attendance and he was so happy to help when I asked him to do it. Of course it wasn't a hard task, but he never forgot and always took pride in it. That smile of his could light up a room. To say he will be truly missed is such an understatement. I doubt he knew how much I cared for him, and that's on me for not telling him. I will never again make that mistake with anyone God puts in my life. God bless his beautiful soul. Prayers of peace for Warren and Katie.

One of my favorite of many memories was when I ran into Coop at the gas station and he was so excited to tell me that he got his credits figured out and had received his diploma. I was so proud of him and he was so proud of himself. Love that boy. ❤️

I remember Cooper since middle school. He was always the class clown and making me and the rest of the class laugh. I remember he was always wearing Camo clothes and was always prepared for the end of the world. I also remember when our class went to Keystone and he made this awesome fort in the dorm room. Cooper you will be missed. Katie and Warren you will be in my prayers.
