Obituary of Robert Allen Jackson
Robert Allen Jackson entered this world on March 24, 1933 and entered eternal life on September 14, 2022 at age 89.
Bob was born on a cold, spring morning at his grandfather's farm in Linneus, Missouri. The family moved to California when he was four. He met Dee in high school and they married six years later on June 16, 1956. He and Dee received Jesus' love and redemption in 1973, life was never the same. They enjoyed sixty-six years of wedded bliss together. They moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1993.
Bob attended Cal State Long Beach and received his BA degree in speech. He worked at TRW Space & Defense for thirty-two years. He was a wonderful tenor and sang in a barbershop quartet with the Astronotes when he worked at TRW. He and Dee sang in their church choir, First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton for many years.
He loved his family and loved making everyone laugh. He and Dee loved to take road trips. They traveled this great country and actually visited all 50 capitols. Family vacations to Lake Tahoe every summer were a mainstay of the family.
Bob always had a joke at hand for everyone he knew or didn't! If you spoke with him for any length of time, you would most assuredly walk away with a smile, and usually shaking your head over the "bad" pun he shared with you.
He is survived by his wife, Dee; children, Denise (Mark) Davis, Rick (Marti) Jackson, and daughter Dana Wapner; grandchildren, Tarin Jackson, Steven and Allie Galasso; and brother, Duke Rick.
