Obituary of Ramona Lisa Kirven

Ramona was called home by our Creator on October 6, 2022. She was a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on November 12, 1955 to Rudolph Rogan and Lisa Ruth (Naumann) Rogan. She attended North Junior High School, and graduated from Palmer High School in 1973. She also received a Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in social work from the University of Southern Colorado. At the age of 15, she became a CNA, which led her down the road to her dedicating her life to the medical field. She provided care for the elderly and disabled, and worked for several years of her life at Union Printers Home with her good friend Marilyn Russell. She was also an excellent home healthcare provider. Ramona was a people person. She could talk with a stranger and make them feel comfortable and at home in an instant. She had that effect on people. She also loved helping people in need, from the homeless to a friend or family member. She had compassion and empathy towards others and went out of her way to help when she could. She enjoyed life, and at family get-togethers she was the life of the party, especially when she had her sister, Marilyn, at her side. She loved to crack jokes and make everybody feel welcomed. Everybody knew that if the party was at Ramona's house, they were going to eat a good meal. She was an amazing cook. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She always made sure that her children and grandchildren were taken care of and that they never needed anything. Other pastimes she enjoyed were singing, listening to music, watching TV shows, movies, and documentaries with her children. She could also draw and sketch. She was a person with many talents. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Kirven; her three children, Raymond Rogan, Riccardo Kirven, and Tanessa Kirven; her five grandchildren; her sister, Carmen Thomas-Rogan; numerous nephews and nieces; and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Lisa Rogan; her two brothers, Riccardo Rogan and Raymond Robins; one sister, Marilyn Currie; one daughter, Reanna Kirven; and her grandparents, Alfred and Elsa Naumann, and Tennessee Kirven. Ramona will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends. She was loved and will always have a place in their hearts. Her time and work on this planet was done. God needed one of his angels back home, so he called Her family thanks everyone for their prayers and emotional support.
