Obituary of Dennis James Bagenstos

Dennis James Bagenstos was born to Herbert and Eleanor Bagenstos on July 29, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He died from an aggressive brain tumor on October 13, 2022. He moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with his family in 1970. He graduated from Wasson High School and UNC in Greeley, Colorado. He owned a bike shop where he specialized in building custom bikes. He later moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where he earned an advanced engineering degree. In addition to engineering and construction careers, he enjoyed his printing, sales, and marketing companies. Dennis was a lifelong learner and had many hobbies including photography, astronomy, building and remodeling, travel and being outdoors. He had a knack for making people laugh, and relished spending time with family and friends. He found great joy in serving his Ascension Lutheran Church community where he was a member since age 15. He married Judy Leiseth September 12, 1998, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They shared a richly blessed life together. Dennis is survived by his wife, Judy Leiseth; siblings, Carol (Dennis) Caldwell and Craig (Gail) Bagenstos; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marsha, and Kurt Ehrhardt; stepmother, Myra Bagenstos; many nieces and nephews and their children whom he loved dearly; and special friends he cherished.
