Obituary of Sara Jo Roettger

Sara Jo (Montee) Roettger, 95, died Friday, October 14, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jo was born November 20, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri to Vera (Houston) and Earl Montee. She married Kenneth David Roettger on March 3, 1951. Dr. and Mrs. Roettger moved to Fairfield, Iowa and raised five children. She was involved in numerous charity endeavors while also pursuing her passion for quilting, china/silk painting, and other crafting arts. She also traveled to numerous countries in Europe, as well as all over the United States and Mexico. Jo moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2002 and attended Broadmoor Community Church for many years. Sara Jo Roettger was preceded in death by her parents, Vera (Houston) and Earl Montee; her husband, Kenneth David Roettger; and one daughter, Carrie Lee Roettger. Sara Jo Roettger is survived by her three daughters, Montie Jo Baxley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hollie Ann Brosseau of Pueblo, Colorado, and Vickie Rae Roettger of Parker, Colorado; her two sons, Kurt August Roettger of Anchorage, Alaska, and William Earl Roettger of Colorado Springs, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
