Obituary of Anita Clara Matilda Ladewig

Anita Clara Matilda Ladewig, 93 of California, passed away on October 17, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in 1929 to William and Lillie (Obermiller) Ladewig in Taylor, Texas. Anita went to high school in Corpus Christi, Texas. She went on to earn a degree in Education from the University of Texas. Ms. Ladewig helped children as a California school teacher for many years, and loved California. To honor Anita, you could visit Muir Woods. Ms. Ladewig was a vegan years before the lifestyle became mainstream, because she wanted all animals to be treated humanely. She had blue eyes the color of bluebonnets that sparkled when she smiled. Ms. Ladewig was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillie Ladewig. Anita is survived by her sister, Vera Mengelkamp of Colorado; her brother, Curtis Ladewig of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
