Avis Vanessa Johnson-Duncan, 61, passed away on November 7, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on September 14, 1961 in Peoria, Illinois to Sterling and Girline Johnson. Avis was a help desk manager for Charter Communications. Avis is survived by her son, Andrew (Jennifer) Johnson; her granddaughters, Kilara Olson, and Arayah Johnson; her grandsons, Andrew Johnson II, Josiah Johnson, and Micah Johnson; her mother, Girline Johnson; her sisters, Regina (Ronald) Hayes and Lynnette Lee; and her brother, Lester Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Andrew Duncan; and her father, Sterling Johnson.
