Obituary of Stephan A. Kerton

Stephan A. Kerton, 75, passed away at his home November 7, 2022 after a long illness. Steve was born April 4, 1947 in Manchester, Iowa to Bernard "Bing" and Dorothy (Campbell) Kerton. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1965. Following high school, he received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Dubuque and his Masters in banking later on. He and Marlys J. Anderson were married in the Danforth Chapel in Iowa City, Iowa on July 11, 1979. They soon moved to Colorado, where they made a home in Monument. Steve worked his way up to President of the El Paso County Bank, where he was well liked and enjoyed his profession. He was active in the Kiwanis and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bing and Dorothy Kerton; and brother-in-law, Larry Owens. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Marlys; sister, Nancy (Jim) Hough of Manchester, Iowa; brother, Dave Kerton of Marion, Iowa; sister-in-law, Janis Owens of Creston, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
