Obituary of Janet Bertha Jara

Janet B. (Bussink) Jara of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away on November 16, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado from complications of Pneumonia and her courageous battle with lung cancer. Janet was born on November 20, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from San Fernando High School, California in 1959 and joined the United States Air Force, where she met her first husband, Jack Bussink. She was a dedicated and long-standing member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, The Columbian Ladies, Women of the Moose, and many more catholic organizations while residing in Bull Head City, Arizona the last twenty-eight years. Janet is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her three children, Jack Bussink; second husband, Jerry Jara; son, James Bussink; siblings, Jean Brown (twin sister) and Richard Nickerson; brothers-in-law, Donald Clark, Michael Bussink, and Harold Brown; and nephew, Edward Clark. Janet is survived by her son, Joseph (Birgit) Bussink from Germany; daughter, Jean (Curt) Cody of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Sharon Bussink of Lusby, Maryland; brother, John(Gayle) Cunningham; grandchildren, Jon (Erica) Cody, Matthew Cody, Jessica Cody, Jeffrey Bussink, and Joseph Bussink, Jr.; great-grandchild, Jack Bussink; sisters-in-law, Kay Clark and Betty Bussink; nieces and nephews, Julie (Steve) Anderson, Laura (Tom) Olivas, Kelly Hintz, Tiffany Olivas, Brandon Olivas, Theresa Clark, Tom (Lynn) Clark, Bernadette (Patrick) Clerkin, Kevin (Cherie) Clark, Brian Clark, Michelle (Tom) Chervenak, Jacki Mutziger, BJ (Rachel) Bussink, Tammy Cunningham, and Julie Cunningham. Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Friday, December 9, 2022, The Springs Funeral Services - North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923. Celebration of Life will be immediately following service at Zeek's Sports Bar & Grill, 4829 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917. Janet's final place of rest will be at The Gates of Heaven in Silver Spring, Maryland. Graveside Service to be held in July, 2023 in Maryland.
